What data we collect

The Network+ will collect data you provide us by filling in the online membership form when you register to be an IGT Network+ member. The information will include your email address, name and current employment institution and may request additional fields.

We also collect data during official Network+ events to allow for registration. Members will have data options presented to them at time of registration.

How we use your information

Once you have filled in an online members form your data will be stored on our members list on the IGT website.

During the process you will have the option to opt-in to display your personal details on our public membership database at:

You will also have the option to opt-in to our members mailing list, which will allow you to receive monthly newsletters and any other updates/information we wish to share with the Network.

Sharing your data

We may share your personal data with third parties who provide services on our behalf, such as for administrative purposes.

We may also share your personal data with third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation.

Processing of data

Occasionally we may use data from the mailing list to help target the promotion of specific scientific meetings or events relevant to the field.

We use analytic cookies to monitor website performance. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the Network website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way the Network website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily. We are not able to identify users through this.

We also use cookies in our email communications to track whether emails have been opened or read and whether recipients have visited any website links provided.

Where we store your personal data

We may store data collected by the website electronically and within secure marketingautomation platformMailChimp. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this storing.  We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. Occasionally we will download members data from this platform to analyse membership numbers etc. This information will be stored on a spreadsheet within a secure server at King’s college London.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure.  Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to the website and any transmission is at your own risk.

Retaining your personal data

The IGT Network+ website will remain unless we inform you otherwise (or you request that we erase your personal data), we will retain your personal data on record for as long as IGT Network+ activity continues.

The Network+ website contains links to and from various third party websites. If you follow a link to any of these websites please note that they have their own privacy policies and we do not accept responsibility or liability for these policies.
