Our network organises tri-annual events which take place at partner institutes across the UK. These events are designed to put the spotlight on areas of specialist IGT research, stimulate new ideas and promote collaborations. The network offers its members funding support for travel to these events. We also list a range of other IGT events from the community, if you would like to add your listing please contact email@example.com.
Medical Image Computing Summer School (MedICSS) 2018 at UCL 9th-13th July.
Medical image computing is a core theme of research at University College London (UCL) with internationally recognised activities crossing multiple centres, institutes and departments, and covering a wide variety of modalities, devices, theory and applications. With this forth MedICSS event we hope to allow young scientists from the international community to engage with the experts in a diverse range of image computing topics and learn about the state-of-the-art in the field. As well as lectures by scientific leaders we will promote activity based learning through interactive breakout sessions which will foster new links of collaboration, critical thinking and scientific discovery. Taking advantage of London’s position as a global city and international travel hub, we invite applications to MedICSS especially from gifted doctoral students who wish to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of medical image computing research and systems.
The five day course covers different topics including: Acquisition/Reconstruction, Image guided interventions, Image processing and analysis, Modelling, and Machine learning.
MedICSS will take place between 9 – 13 July, 2018 at UCL in London. MedICSS is supported in part by CMIC to allow cost effective participation. The course registration fees are:
Registration will cover attendance to all lectures and interactive sessions. Coffee and tea will be provided during breaks along with basic refreshments. We also encourage attendees to explore the vibrant area surrounding UCL which is abundant in restaurants, cafes, food markets and street fairs.
